About the Market

Goal: Support newcomers.

We are a fledgling pop-up market centering LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and emerging artisans and makers exploring their craft. We believe there is always room for more spaces in our community to support the financial success of BIPOC, queer, and trans makers, artists, crafters, creators, entrepreneurs. Our goal is to provide the additional support we’ve been looking for in preparing for a craft or maker market as a newcomer.

About the planners.

M Rudder (they/them) is a queer and trans Japanese-American artist creating work that explores the intersections of the natural world, gender identity, the sacred, and belonging. View their full artist statement.

Jey Weisgerber (they/them) is a queer and trans hobbyist maker with a current interest in hand-dyed fibers and collecting antique treasures. They are experimenting with Found & Faded, an offering of hand-dyed clothes and found objects to adore.

COVID-19 Precautions

Yep. COVID-19 is still traveling through the air and disproportionately affecting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and elderly people. In order to keep our community of makers, patrons, and sponsors healthy, we ask that you consider this an opportunity to show radical care for each other. Masking will be required inside the event to inhibit the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne diseases. Please also:

  • Take a test before you come along to our event!

  • Stay home if you’re not feeling well!

If outdoor temperatures are not too cold, we will opt to leave the doors to the Civic Center open to help increase ventilation in the space. Pop-up vendors who have specific interest in tabling on the covered porch, in order to help minimize COVID-19 contact, please let us know - we have a few spaces for just that purpose! Pop-up vendors who are sick the day of the event and are unable to attend will be reimbursed half their vendor fee.
