Hi! My name is April and I am a queer printmaker. I have always loved painting and drawing, and making linocut prints is an amazing way to combine these. Block printing has allowed me to slow down and truly appreciate every line and cut I make, while later being able to experiment with paper types, backgrounds, inking methods, and more. I am continuously inspired by my outdoor adventures, my two fur babies, and my partner. This has resulted in unique watercolored block prints.
I remember that I loved drawing when I was growing up and got pretty good at it throughout high school. The one thing I loved more was anime. I grew up on Toonami: Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha. I also loved Sailor Moon. During college, I fell behind in drawing as my class load got heavier and I eventually attended graduate school.
During the pandemic, I decided to purchase a sketchbook and see if I could still draw. I will admit, some of the work was not good at first, but it eventually came back to me and I could see myself improving slowly. My first pieces all hung on my wall, claiming every inch of space. They were never intended for anyone else. However, why should I keep these to myself and not let others enjoy the artwork? So, I decided to open a shop and see if people were interested in my artwork.

I am a queer artist born to the Mountains of Vermont. I am deeply connected to the earth. My work is inspired by the plants and animals that surround me as the seasons change. Through traditional printmaking techniques, textiles, and illustrations I aim to help others foster their connection to the land and all it shares with us. I print cards and smaller works of art and I also create some larger scale, individual items. My mission as an artist is to make artwork that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial backing.

We are a couple of queer, neurodivergent Boston area artists collaborating and hoping to come to local art markets so we can share our creations with our community. We both are artists in our own right: Michelle (she/they) is a poet and jewelry maker who loves all things witchy and cute. They are always learning about new artforms and bringing what they learn into their projects. Eric (they/he) is a writer and visual artist who grew up playing in a graveyard. We offer hand painted earrings, spell jars, prints (4x6 and 8x10) of our artwork, as well as button pins, painted jackets, and zines! Together we have a zine series called Kaleidoscorpe where we are focusing on art and poetry. Eric also creates a series of zines that blends folk amd cosmic horror into a diy format called The Greenman Gazette.
