How Yet Another Queer Pop-Up Market Supports Western Mass
Collectively, we have helped to drive a conservative estimate of more than $21,750 for local 2SLGBTQIA+ makers in the last 11 months, through 4 markets.
Our upcoming December 2024 market (and one year anniversary!) hosted by 50 Arrow Gallery, with support from Eastworks will include more than SIXTY makers, beverage vendors, and community partners, and a performance by the Queer Joy Collaborative Chorus!
Our makers identify as: 96.66% 2SLGBTQIA+, 30% BIPOC, and with 36.66% being new to our market) Our goal is to drive more than $18,000 worth of sales for this day for our makers and to raise a minimum of $3000 for hurricane relief and rebuilding efforts in the South and Appalachia.
Our hope is to finish our year with a total of $40,000 having found its way to our local 2SLGBTQIA+ makers. To reach that goal, we need to raise a minimum of $2000 in sponsorship fees for our December market. These fees are pivotal to our ability to offer sliding scale vendor fees to:
increase accessibility by supporting a sliding scale tabling fee,
fund marketing and promotion (60-75% of our funds go toward boosted social media posts, postcards, yard signs, and day-of marketing materials)
support venue rental costs,
feed our volunteers,
and provide a small stipend to the market manager
